Mark Sugarman

Mark is the founder of MHS Capital and has been working with startups as an investor, advisor and operator for over 15 years.

He first started working with startups in 1996 when he joined Internet Capital Group as its first investment professional. After a few years at ICG, Mark moved to the operational side when he joined VertcialNet as an early employee. While there, he helped take the company public and led its corporate development/partnerships team. After leaving VerticalNet, Mark returned to investing and now spends his time working closely with ambitious entrepreneurs driven to build large, meaningful companies.
